About
I am an artist-filmmaker based in London with particular interest in artists' film, short-form documentary, and experimental non-fiction.
I graduated with distinction in MA Documentary Practice from Queen Mary, University of London in 2018, where I received the outstanding achievement award in documentary practice.
Although I work primarily in a non-fiction mode, my work blends documentary, archive, performative and fictive elements to move beyond factual tellings. My work is grounded in intersectional feminism and examines and challenges social and political concerns through intimate portraits.
In 2019, I was selected for the Widening the Lens development programme for new film talent, run by Encounters Film Festival. In 2021, I was selected as artist-in-residence on the AiRdrop residency programme from Satellite Films, supported by Arts Council England.
In 2023, I was selcted as a participant in the Radical Film School, run by filmmaker Saeed Taji Farouky.
I am available for commercial work, whether the full production process or assisting work.
Recent commercial projects include artist Jessica Ashman's Art Council England-funded project “Dawta’ and a short-form documentary for musician Morly (Sweat Entertainment/Cascine). I was commissioned to direct a music video for Big Joanie’s 2022 single Sainted.
